Finally, A Little Sunshine on OPEC Collusion
In another attempt to obfuscate OPEC’s collusion in the oil markets, the union attempted to place blame for higher gas prices on the Ethanol industry here in the United States.
Never mind that the price of Ethanol is lower than the price of gasoline by about 25%; it is clear that they are really just trying to push public opinion against one of the primary ways we can produce fuel here in the United States.
Take a look at the press release here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/7/prweb1115304.htm

I Don’t Know What I’ve Been Told, But Ethanol Ain’t That Bad Afterall…
Sometimes you just don’t know what to believe. When you watch the news, you learn that ethanol production is driving up the cost of grain, and making our fuel cost more. But then I read articles like The Case for Ethanol, and I look at this site he was linking to: http://www.drivingethanol.org/, and I see that actually, the price for Ethanol is LOWER than the price of gas, and I have to wonder…
Maybe there IS something good about it.
A year ago, paying $3.24 for gas would have seemed too high, but right now I’d take it. And that’s the price for Ethanol right now. Maybe we should get into this.
